Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz worked their magic at Lollapalooza in Chicago, hosting a backstage lounge at the weekend music event.

But some sponsors in the gifting suite complained that they didn't get any photo ops for all the swag they gave away.

"Pete was a host [of the party] and Ashlee was his guest, but although they hit up a lot of the gifting suites, nobody got photos," said a snitch.

However, another sponsor was given the cold shoulder for entirely different reasons.

"They were given 'KY Intimacy kits,' but they wouldn't take photos with them," laughs an insider.

"They were both overheard saying how Joe [Simpson, Ashlee's manager dad] would murder them if they started showing off that stuff."

TRACY Morgan is maintaining his sobriety with a sense of humor. At the Yankee game the other night, he showed off his SCRAM alcohol-monitoring anklet and told onlookers, "Check out my Lindsay Blowhan bracelet . . . I'm taking it to Jacob the Jeweler to get it blinged out!" The "30 Rock" star also "bragged about the $100,000 Jaguar he just bought - which a friend has to drive because he's on parole - and the $3 mil he made this summer," our spy said. Nothing like being humble!

MICHAEL Lohan's lawyer has fired off a letter to his ex-wife, Dina, complaining she's shacked up with a boozing boyfriend, Jim McMillan, in the family's Long Island home along with Lindsay Lohan's three younger siblings. The lawyer, John DiMascio, wrote: "During my client's telephone calls with the children, he has overheard Mr. McMillan in the background making inappropriate comments. On a more disturbing note, it appears that Mr. McMillan was inebriated . . ." Michael Lohan told The Post's Kieran Crowley: "Jim McMillan should not be in the presence of my children - especially when I'm being kept from them. He is no example, nor is he a substitute father." Dina, her lawyer and McMillan did not return our calls. Lindsay, meanwhile, is believed to be in a rehab facility in Utah - despite previous press reports of her returning to Long Island.

Actress Mia Farrow has offered to give up her "freedom" so that an ailing Darfur rebel leader can get safe passage out of a hospital, according to a letter the celebrity activist wrote to Sudan's president and posted Monday on her website.

Suleiman Jamous, a moderate who has been a key link between Darfur rebels and aid workers in the war-torn Sudanese region, needs to leave the country for further medical care, Farrow, 62, said in the letter to President Omar al-Bashir.

Jamous has been at a U.N. hospital outside Darfur suffering from abdominal problems. Though the U.N. has said he is free to leave, he fears arrest or government reprisals.

"As you are undoubtedly aware, Mr. Jamous is in need of a medical procedure that cannot be carried out in Kadugli," wrote Farrow, who is a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.

She continued: "I am therefore offering to take Mr. Jamous's place, to exchange my freedom for his in the knowledge of his importance to the civilians of Darfur and in the conviction that he will apply his energies toward creating the just and lasting peace that the Sudanese people deserve and hope for.”

According to the Associated Press, more than 200,000 people have died in Darfur, and 2.5 million have been driven from their homes since 2003 when tribes of ethnic African farmers rebelled against the Arab-dominated central government, accusing leaders of discrimination and corruption.

Activists believe that Jamous could help revive negotiations between rebel groups and the government after last year's peace deal failed to end the violence.

On Monday, UNICEF spokeswoman Kate Donovan said the organization was "not aware that Mia Farrow had written the letter to the president of the Republic of Sudan under her UNICEF goodwill ambassador title, and we'd like to consult with her before we make a comment."

"My Big Fat Greek Wedding" producers Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Gary Goetzman and star Nia Vardalos are suing Gold Circle Films claiming the production company has breached contracts to pay a portion of revenue from the hit film.

The suit, filed Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court on behalf of the producers' loan-out corporations, claims an entity formed by Gold Circle to develop, finance and produce the 2002 film entered into a series of complex deals giving Hanks and Wilson two-thirds and Goetzman one-third of any remaining "producer's share of net profits" after payments to all required production and financier participants.

The producers allege Gold Circle has thwarted attempts to conduct an audit and has provided accounting statements that are "vague and inadequate in failing to provide information consistent with industry standards," causing unspecified damages to the producers.

"Defendants have deliberately underreported the gross receipts derived from exploitation of the picture and deliberately overreported distribution expenses, fees, and costs ... thereby reducing the amount of profits reported to plaintiffs on the accounting statements," according to the complaint.

For instance, Vardalos, who allegedly was given 8% of the film's "adjusted gross receipts," is said to have received accounting statements indicating payments of close to 7% of reported "net profits."

Gold Circle representatives were not immediately available for comment.

The complaint alleges causes of action for breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, fraud, intentional interference with contract, declaratory relief, common counts and an accounting.

"Greek Wedding," produced for approximately $5 million, was made by Gold Circle, HBO and others and went on to become a worldwide box office sensation, grossing more than $368 million in revenue, according to boxofficemojo.com.

HBO is not named as a defendant in the suit.

Blonde boybander Nick Carter had a thing or two to say about celebutante ex-girlfriend, ex-con Paris Hilton. While being interviewed on air today for the Scott & Todd in the Morning Show on WPLJ 95.5 FM in New York City, Carter dished and dismissed his former flame. The boys were in town promoting their new single, "Inconsolable." Backstreet's back? Alright?

"[Bandmate] Howie asked me that question this morning: 'You don't think about her no more? You ever wish you could be back with her?' To be honest, no. I don't even care anymore," he said, before adding, "I think half of America doesn't care either." Harsh!

The teen dream dated Hilton for around 7 months in 2003, before their relationship crashed and burned. At the time, said Carter, "I got tired of the rumors surrounding our relationship and the constant on and off status." Tired of Paris?

The wardrobe designer who made costumes for Toni Braxton's Las Vegas show is suing the songstress, claiming she bounced a check for his designer duds. Un-break my bank account!

According to court papers filed on Friday, Anthony Franco was commissioned by Braxton and Liberty Entertainment, Inc. to design the entire wardrobe for Braxton's "Toni Revealed" show. Franco claims they agreed on a price of $35,000. Franco alleges that he received payment by check, which was returned for "insufficient funds." He then alleges the defendants put a stop payment on the check.

In the lawsuit, Franco claims he was eventually paid $20,000, but there is still a $15,000 balance. Braxton's show at the Flamingo Hotel began last August and is still going strong.

Calls to Toni Braxton's rep and attorney for comment were not immediately returned.
