Re: Crib mattress?

baby bargains suggests a foam mattress, saying that the foam one is much easier to handle than the springed one, especially when you have to lift the thing up and change the baby's sheets in the middle of the night!

i wouldn't get a quilted mattress cover, because they tend to make the bed fluffier and i am worried about too much fluff (SIDS).

Re: Crib mattress?

I went w/ foam. I got the double sided one from BBB. One side is very firm for a newborn and the other is a bit softer for a toddler.

Re: Crib mattress?

I would also suggest The Ultimate Crib Sheet .
You put it over the sheet on the mattress so that if there is an accident, you can quickly and easily take it off and the sheets won't get ruined. If you get it, make sure you get 2 so you can have one on whiel you're washing the other one. Chat Icon

We got foam too from Behr's. I don't really plan on putting a mattress cover on it.

Re: Crib mattress?

I got the Classica II Foam mattress, recommended by Baby Bargains for being easier to handle and lighter than a coil mattress.
