House Centipedes
We have seen a few scurrying across our living room floor recently - let me tell you - these suckers are FAST!!!! They are apparently good to have in the house because they eat all other bugs and pests and stuff, but they severely gross me out. I also read that they do bite humans and that the bites are painful.
Anyone have any experiences with these LOVELY  creatures???

Are you talking about "silver fish"? I believe that's what they're called and YES we have them  They're so nasty. They like moisture... so we find them in the bathroom a lot

They aren't silverfish (that's what we thought at first too - but they are their own species)
Silverfish gross me out too (thankfully we haven't seen any in the house)

I can't see your picture... but when I pulled up a pic of silver fish, that's not what we have either!! UGH... what do yours look like?

OK, I just googled and GROSSED myself out!!!  Yes, we have the "house centipedes". NASTY!!! For so long I thought they were silver fish I HATE THEM!! and yes, they're fast!
