Are you kidding me???
I am getting FED UP with a co-worker! This is the same guy who sits next to me, who clips his nails everyday 
He's an investigator in my office, I'm the lead attorney for our group. When we get a case, he does the investigation (i.e. collects the data, calls the parties to get more information, etc). I get involved when there are legal issues - so when there is a legal issue, he and our team leader bring it to me for my "legal" opinion. I issue my opinion and they go from there.
In my FIRST week on this job, I gave my legal opinion on something, and in a meeting between the three of us, he sat there, without looking at me, and told our team leader he thinks "legal is 'misinformed'". Thankfully my team leader backed me up and told him, tough, that's legal's job, they make a decision, we listen.
So, yesterday I made another legal opinion on one of the cases he's working on. He just emails myself and the team leader, once again saying he thinks I'm "misinformed" and "Suggests" that I consult with the higher-ups in our office before proceeding.

Ugh that's annoying! Good for you that you cc'd the supervisor and lead attorney! Sorry that you have to deal with this idiot, the good thing is that it since your team leader backed you up last time he/she obviously understands.
