How can I monitor contractions??

I'm having them now and I called my doctor. They told me to monitor them, since I haven't lost my mucus plug, my water hasn't broken, and I'm not bleeding. but I'm clueless right now.

HELP!

Somewhat..but it's so hard to tell how far apart they are when it seems to be consistant.

I don't know myself. Mine have gotten pretty strong tonight and I'm on the same page as you, CLUELESS. (But mine are only a few times per hour, so I've got time.) Do you feel them in your back too?

OK...sit down in front of the TV...with your feet up..have a pen and something to write on...use the clock on the TV or DVD etc....when you start having a contraction note the time and start counting...mark down what time you had the contraction and for how long....Continue as follows..Continue until as directed by your doctor.
