$1000-$2000
Is what it might cost to fix my car. The other day I was in the driveway and heard this clank snap noise, I backed out of my spot, and saw this metal spring thing on the floor. I call my mechanic and take the car in; he just called and said I broke the strut spring thing and has to replace them all wit the caps. Plus I now need new tires (I knew this and DH ) a freaking timing belt and a "good tune-up" OMG. Low side $1000 high side closer to $2000. OMG He said it was good I was in the drive way otherwise "it could have been real nasty". OMG Just told DH and I think he on the other end. Still waiting to hear if Ford has the parts. Oh Lordy, its going to be one of those days.

Re: $1000-$2000
What kind of car do you have? $2,000 seems like a high estimate for that work...
ETA - I got new struts, a tune up, and new brakes on my car for under $1,000 last year.
Unless your tires are really expensive, I certainly hope it's not $2,000!!!

I have a focus 2001. He is still waiting for pricing, He is a close family friend so I know he wont screw me. DH has been friends with these brothers for 25 years. Im just hoping its on the much lower side, other wise Im going to be on a serious buget.
