does anyone else wear out the letters on their PC keyboard?

It must be the way I type. I do this at home and at work. After I have had a keyboard for a while, the letters are gone. Anyone who sits at my desk complains. I usually know the keys well enough but today I keep making mistakes that I would not be making if my keys had letters on them. I have acrylic nails but I keep them short. Oh, I type so loud. I must be doing something technically wrong in the way I type but I am fast. I think I need 2 new keyboards--work and home.

On my laptop it doesn't wear away the letters but the letters that are used more frequently become very shiny.

Yes, same with my mom. My BIL complains when he has to use her keyboard because he looks at the keys when he types and can't tell which are which. My mom and I never look down, so we never noticed until he pointed it out.

yes and my mouse pad is worn along with the left click button.

We just replaced our keyboard for that very reason!
My husband got a new one where the letters aren't printed on the keys, but instead, they are etched into them, and there's a light behind the whole keyboard that you can turn on....that way, we'll never lose our letters again!

After having my laptop for 5 yrs my N, L and E are wearing off.
