Another shower question...this is bugging me..
I gave my Mom my shower list (she kept asking me for it) after looking it over a million times. I did the same as with my bridal shower, I didn't invite people from work as they had thrown me something separate for my bridal. I work with so many people that I just didn't feel it was right to single people out. Someone that used to work with us, was on the list as I see her from time to time, she is my friend.
My question is-did I do the right thing? I know one person in particular kept saying to me "don't forget to put me on the shower list, I wanna be there, tell your Mom". Now I feel like I goofed....I just don't want hard feelings from anyone.
Help girls, I won't sleep tonight, I'm obsessing too much

I would just leave everyone from the office off the list. I know that this person wants to be there for you, but the shower is not the only way, kwim?
i think you are doing the right thing by leaving co-workers off.

Yeah, I believe in the all or nothing way to go. Even if I dont like certain coworkers, I would feel bad excluding them.
Maybe just explain that since you have so many relatives (even if its not true), you need to keep the friends list very short... or something like that.

i think its an all or nothing thing too besides they'll prob have a work shower for you anyway? you could say your mom wanted to keep things v small etc.

This is sort of what I was thinking. Only thing is my job doesn't seem to do these showers for everyone and I certainly didn't want to assume they would give one. I love most of the people I work with so this is hard for me.

It was almost the exact list from my bridal shower except I didn't invite that one person because she still worked with us at the time. Now, since she left the company, I wanted to include her, plus I don't get to see her often. Otherwise, I left everyone from work off the list because they had thrown me a separate shower. Even then, three people had asked me about the shower, they seemed shocked that they weren't invited...I found that so strange
