Please tell me i'm worrying over nothing...
I have to send my laptop away to dell to get it fixed. It works fine but the minute you move it just a little bit it goes off. I mentioned this yesterday in another post.
Anyways i'm very nervous about sending it to Dell. DH was like "I hope they don't mess around with any of your files"...now he's got me worried that something bad is going to happen to my computer.
Has anyone had to do this with their computers? or laptops?

I would make sure you back up all your files before sending it. You don't want to take that chance!

ehh cant u get it fixed at like best buy or something b4 shipping it off..i think dell is awful when it comes to customer service i would never send them back my computer

my sister did and they sent her a whole new laptop! she didnt have any files on it though, it was just a lemon. I'm sure it will be fine.

I woundn't worry......most of the time if they find it too difficult to fix, they will just replace it w/a new one..... they ask you about any important files... GL

ETA: If it's still under warranty, why can't they send a tech out to you to fix it?

I'm trying to back up date on cd's but it's not working I have two types of CD's:
CD-R and DVD-R Both are not working!
Am I using the right CD's?
