At what point in pregnancy do you start gaining weight? A friend of mine from work told me that her jeans were tight on her before she evern knew she was pregnant. She found out she was pregnant at 3 weeks.

everyone is different. she may just be very bloated which is why her jeans are tight. i started gaining somewhere between 11-13 weeks. I was up 4lbs by 13weeks but some girls dont gain any weight until later, morning sickness etc...

i lost 10 pounds from morning sickness and didn't gain it all back until about 18 weeks. between 18 and 23 weeks i gained about 3 pounds. then last week i gained 4 pounds in ONE WEEK!!  so my total gain is 7 pounds at 24 weeks.

Everyone is different, I didn't look like I was bloated until at least 13 Weeks, maybe around 15 Weeks, I got maternity pants but in the regular size i was in

First pregnancy - I started gaining weight around 7-8 weeks. This pregnancy I didn't gain a pound until like 17-18 weeks or so even though I pouched up quicker!

I gain weight right away and its one of the ways I know that Im pregnant. This is my 4th pregnancy and with everyone I have gained 10lbs by my 8 week appointment. Im usually so sick to my stomach that I know its not from over eating....The good side is that I usually lose most, if not all the weight by the time the baby is 6-8 weeks old..

clothes got tight quickly, but I didn't actually gain until about week 15 or so. And I think i've only gained 2 pounds so far (a stomach virus a couple weeks ago didn't help that, I had lost 4).

My pants were tight at about 10 weeks, 12-13 weeks I started wearing my "fat" pants and by 14 weeks I was using the bella band to hold my pants up unbuttoned.
I really didn't gain any weight in my first Tri despite my tight pants (no m/s either), and started gaining weight around 13 or 14 weeks. I gained 16 lbs in my 2nd tri.

I lost almost 10 lbs my first 16 weeks, but was wearing maternity clothing/bella bands by week 9 or week 10 because of the bloating.

my clothes got tight fast, but I didn't really gain until after Week 16. Actually, at my week 15-16 appointment my doctor told me to eat more, because I hadn't gained enough weight for my height.

Krista, it all depends on the fluid in your body also and how the belly is growing..I think around 12 weeks my pants started getting tight . I know it was after i told work
