we are looking for houses now and my DH will not settle for anything below .5. But he realizes a home closer to 2 acres will require a lot of work.

I am prepared to buy him a ridable mower when that time comesChat Icon

I have 2 properties (both a tiny bit over an acre). I mow them both myselves and do the upkeep myself. The one property is heavily landscpaed and needs a lot of attnetion (Which I do). The other peice is landscaped as well, but does not require as much attention as the other acre.

It takes a total of 3-4 hours once a week during the growing season to keep up on both lots.
