weeding is no fun
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! I've had no time to weed all spring and I just started today. It's so overwhelming. The little old ladies that lived in the house before us were hard core gardeners and there is A LOT to maintain. Our neighbors tell us they were out there every day weeding. I do NOT want to be doing that ! Next year, I think we are going to dig a lot of it up.

Do you have mulch? Put down some wood chips, or something like that and that will help cut down on the weeds.
There is also ground cover you can purchase, but IMO mulch looks nicer, and it's good for the soil

And buy a cultivator...it looks like a metal rake with only three prongs. You just scrub it through the dirt/mulch and it uproots all the weeds. Image Attachment(s):

If you do wind up digging plants/flowers up, post it here first. I'm sure many of us would be interested in removing them for you! 
Also, please consider natural methods to weed control before resorting to chemicals. Using the tool Gerty recommended in early spring, removing the roots you pulled up, and then putting down some newspaper/mulch is the best way to do it.
Whatever you decide, good luck!

I put down mulch and I still have to pull up the weeds. Maybe I didn't put enough mulch down...

We put that black mesh stuff under mulch and it has really helped with the weeds.
