Is this normal????
After I met with a pediatrician who has a solo practice, I decided to meet the other pediatrician that is available in a group practice. I called today to make an appt, and they said it will cost $45 for a pre-natal visit....is this normal???

Sounds like he is charging a consultation fee - mine didn't but I read on parenting that many dr's are now charging you this (actually I think they charge your insurance the fee).

Im sorry but if a pediatrician charged me to see if I wanted to use them for my children I would pick a different pediatrician..
I understand that their time is money BUT so is mine!!!!!!!!

I think I am going to call again...maybe it charges my insurance....who knows...this whole dr thing has started to wear me down...I just dont know what to do anymore. I mean,I liked the 1st ped..but she is a solo practice..she is 41, expecting twins....and says she will still be available...but I am not so sure....AHHH!
