Glucose Test?
I have my glucose test this sat. should i avoid sweets this week? Does it matter?

My dr said it doesn't matter, to a degree. She mentioned that at this point it's defintiely more hormonal. It's either there or not there.
Hope this makes sense.

You shouldn't really do anything different. I don't think it really matters in the long run, but the test is to see if there is an underlying problem and it wouldn't be good to mask it.

The only thing i would say to do different is regardless of what they tell you - fast before the test! I am convinced i failed the one hour b/c i ate breakfast because my numbers for the 3 hr were all completely normal.

I am going on Saturday too! Where are you taking yours? I am going to the lab at Good Sam. I plan on eating and drinking whatever I normally would.

My suggestion since I just got finished with the 3 hour glucose test (failed the 1 hour):
Definitely don't eat sweets the day you take the 1 hour. I made the mistake of eating a chocolate chocolate chip muffin (duh!) the day of my test with my lunch and I failed it by 3 numbers!
Definitely watch the sugar!
