and going back to work, what type of pump did you buy and why did you choose that one? TIA!

I wouldn't buy or register for a pump until you actually will know you will use it or need it.
But i had the Medela Pump in Style.
It was a great pump! But I wound up hating pumping and only used it a few times.

Best reviews for back to work Medela Pump in Style or the Medela Pump in Style Advanced
A cheaper good alternative is the Ameda Purely Yours
I pumped at work until my son was 1 year. I also suggest this book..
Nursing Mother, Working Mother: The Essential Guide for Breastfeeding and Staying Close to Your Baby After You Return to Work
Also: you can get a rental pump too. They are even more powerful than the ones above but they are heavier.

I'm not buying one until after the baby is here so I know if BFing is working or not (hopefully so.) I'll get a Medela model if I do BF though.
