Anyone have a VW Golf?
Do you have problems with it???
I swear I have had problems from the beginning...I was looking into the lemon law but I didn't qualify

A friend of mine does, and she has nothing but problems. Her BF has a Jetta, and as soon as they can afford new cars, they're getting them....and they've sworn off VW for life  .
I hope things get better

I just had the brakes done over the weekend and now the ABS light is on NEver again with VW never again!

I have a fairly new Passat and it was in the shop for 2 weeks after I had it for 3 days. A few months after that a bunch of lights went on on the dashboard and it was in the shop AGAIN.....so far this month everything is ok

I had a Golf. An '87 Hatchback. My FIRST CAR EVER!
It ran for over 250,000 miles with no problems... until some idiot smashed into me on the Wantagh. 
Maybe you should trade yours in?

I have an '04 Passat and have had no issues thus far. My engine (1.8L turbo) is supposed to be prone to sludge issues, which I knew before I purchased, but I've been treating the car extremely well since we bought it and that seems to have prevented any prbblems so far. (knock on wood)
There is an older thread here somewhere about VW's, people who own them, and the problems people have experienced.
I think it's smart to consider all opinions (bad AND good), the differences in the way people care or don't care for their cars, if the model is lower or higher end, where it was built, and actual proven problems (recalls and documented model or brand-wide problems).
edited to add:
I forgot to say that I did have 2 issues with the car - the driver's side mirror cracked for no discernable reason (they're heated so that might have been a factor?) and the paint on the passenger side mirror is peeling for another unknown reason.

The New Beetle was my dream car. I got it and couldn't wait to get rid of it. Stupid problems that they wouldn't fix and horrible customer service. Plus I had NO mileage on my car!!
I would never ever buy a VW again and I try to convince people otherwise when they think of buying one!
