Status Migraines...
I was just diagnosed with them this morning.
Does anyone lsle suffer from them?
I was told that after I am done with the steroids I will have to take medication everyday.
And tomorrow I go for an MRI, and 2 MRA's to find out what might be the cause. And then a blood test to check the thickness of my blood.

Re: Status Migraines...
I have them. I don't get them often enough to take a daily medication- but you are probably better off taking it if it will prevent them.
I get migraines with aura- which is a very scary thing. I lose part of my vision in one eye before the migraine starts- I sometimes see spots, flashing lights, zig zags or I just see "part" of what I am looking at. Once that passes- the pain begins.
I never know when one will strike- and when it does it is life interupting- so I'm always worried about that in the back of my mind.
If you can take medication to prevent them- I would for peace of mind.
Good luck!

I get this to a tee, but I take daily meds to prevent them...which don't always help.
I'm so sorry you were diagnosed with status migraines, they sound horrible, I wouldn't wish a migraine on my worst enemy. They are not just a "headache". Good Luck.

Re: Status Migraines...
I was on 2 meds a day for my migraines. Once they seemed to go away for the most part, I was able to stop the meds and only take them when I had a migraine. Usually, I lose my vision and that tells me something is about to go on. I try to take my meds asap to avoid a bad one. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. They are absolutely horrible. Good luck with your tests!
