but this made me go Chat Icon "Fitzpatrick said there was an order of protection out prohibiting Anderson from coming into contact with his wife. "Unfortunately, it did not include the place of business. It was specifically excluded," Fitzpatrick said."

umm he shot her eight times in cold blood- i don't think the order of protection including the bagel shop would have stopped him! Chat Icon

this is terrible- now those poor kids have no one! Chat Icon

I agree with you because if someone is intent on killing they're going to do it. However, it is interesting that it happened at the one place he was permitted to be. He didn't go to her home, he went to the one place he knew she would not call the police immediately upon seeing him. Had he gone to her home, she wouldn't have let him in the door and would have had time to call 911 who responds immediately when there is a violation of an order of protection taking place. I'm not saying the outcome would have been different, I'm just saying, in my opinion, exluding specific places on a stay away order of protection is ridiculous and renders the order useless.

Re: Shooting in Huntington!

The order of protection didn't include the business because he is 1/2 owner! They own it together. Can't prohibit him from being in his own store!

What a terrible thing....those poor kids...the youngest is only 10

good points!!! i totally agree...

also, going to the house-- the kids could have been there- risky. for him, he knew she was going to be there, he knew she was going to be pretty much alone or with one other person- few witnesses or anyone to get involved b/c it was so early in the am, etc.

what a horrible person- i hope he gets the death penalty but in this state that's a joke so i hope he gets life w/o parole.

I had a nice conversation with her the morning before she was killed . I feel so badly for her kids and it is such a shame because she was a nice woman.
