I love veg indian food! I like sag paneer (spinach with cheese cubes), aloo gohbi (potatoes and califlower with peas), and masala dosa (almost like a big crepe with potato and onion filling). You might like vegetable bryiani too, which is rice dish with mixed veggies. Just make sure to ask them for your dish mildly spiced, so it's not too hot.
happy eating!

I haven't, but I'd love to know. Central jersey has TONS of these restaurants, but I've never tried any because I don't know what to order.

I ate it when I was in India. I don't know what most of it was called because my co-workers ordered it for me. But it was yummy. LOL
We had aloo poorata (mashed potatoes on naan) and briyani. Both are yummy. Also, aloo doobi is bean based. I don't know how to spell any of it. LOL

Does the name of the restaurant happen to be House of Dosas in Hicksville? that got a great review in the Zagat guide. I had vegetarian Indian food in England. We had some sort of sample platter. I don't remember what it wad but it was a bit spicy. The only vegetarian Indian dish I had that I liked recently is Sag Paneer (it has some sort of cheese with spinach). Its really good.

I love Sag Paneer. There's a great vegetarian Indian restaurant in the city called Vatan. It's price fixe, and they bring out a bunch of wonderful food. you can order more of any dish that you like.

I only eat vegetarian when I have Indian food. I love Kofta. It's some sort of cheese ball in an awesome sauce. It can be made mild or spicy. Get bread or rice to really enjoy the sauce with it!
