If you could live in another state...where?
Within reason of what you could afford...where would you choose and why?
Looking to move withing the next few years, so looking for ideas.

I love NY but I went to college in Arizona. It is beautiful out there. There is lots of shopping, great restaurants natural beauty. It is in close proximity to Vegas, California and Mexico(all within a 5 hr drive or 1 hr flight) There is lots of history. The houses are still reasonably cheap. I recommend Scottsdale or Tempe.

We are heading to Charlotte. Seems to be the perfect medium there. Great house prices, jobs, mountains, few hours from beaches.
DH and I also loved living in Tampa, but we want to try something new.

I went to college there too. Know people there, & I love summer...But may-sept it still just to hot for me. I think for me to live there it would have to maybe be more northern AZ where it's cooler and there are seasons.

I am sure people will think I'm nuts, but Wisconsin is really, really nice. For a small city, Milwaukee has a lot to offer. It's a beautiful state, not too crowded, reasonable home prices. Lots of outdoorsy things to do. Of course, the winters are quite nasty.
My DH is from there, so it's not entirely impossible that we might end up living there at some point.

We moved to FL.
LOVE IT HERE!!! We live 30 min south of Sarasota. Our town is being built up quickly. We have 4 houses on our block being built and their are a dozen more within a 6 block radius. A new city hall, court houses and police precient are being built (they are almost done. probably will be opening within the next month) a lot of new stores are popping up.
The area is really nice and the weather is awesome

Virginia. I lived there for 2 years when I was 20-21 and loved it. I would go back in a second, plus my Mom is there.
NOT VA/DC area...southwest VA in the valley is where I want to live.

I loooove Roanoke. That's where I lived. Its beautiful and poeple are so nice. I'm going back in a few wks to visit and I cant wait.
Also, Lexington, Salem...all in the Roanoke area. In the middle of the Shenendoah Valley - mountains...sooo pretty.
Roanoke is a little city though, plently of jobs beautiful.

 We may be neighbors someday!!! DH wants to move there!!! I think near norfolk or virginia beach or by the chessapeak bay. Is that where the valley is?
