Good Get Well Gift?

My brother is having surgery on Monday and will be out of commission for about a month. I want to send him something- but have NO ideas! Does anyone have any good ideas for me? TIA!

Does he have someone to cook for him? Maybe you could make him some meals that he could easily reheat.

Depends on what he likes. Is he into sports? Maybe game tickets when he gets better. Or video games? Music?

He is married- and my SIL is a great cook- so there is no problem there!

No problem. Does he like puzzles? Like the 1,000 pieces..DH used to love doing those too.
I don't know if he has XBox or anything like that, but, maybe some games?

Well, he is having surgery on his wrist- so I'm not really sure how fun puzzles would be.

And I'm pretty sure his wife wont let him have any kind of game system like xbox or the like. hahahahahahahahahaha.

I would make a basket of things to do, books, mags etc. Also maybe a movie bucket with popcorn, candy and treats. A netflix subscription so he doesn't need anyone to get the movies for him.

Re: Good Get Well Gift?

It depends on the kind of surgery. When my DH had his, he couldn't do much. The only thing he was able to do was watch some TV, so funny movies were the "winners". Magazines, food, etc. don't work for every type of surgery.

I'm sorry about your brother, hope he gets better! Chat Icon

Ah, reading IS fundamental! Chat Icon

Movies, of any kind, will work. And a food basket, since it sounds like he could eat. You can also get him things to rest his wrist, special pillows, etc.
