When would you go?
I am going to NC for a weekend to see my sister and nephew. I can't decide if I should go in June - when i can hang out with my sister more or wait and go to my nephew's bday party in July - he's going to be 3 and my parents will be there too - so less "sister bonding" time. Would you rather spend tme with your sister or see your nephew on his 3rd Bday?
I'm also going in August when she has baby #2, but with DH.

I don't have a sister, but if you two are close I think I'd go when I could spend more time with her. Do your parents live near you? If so, I wouldn't mind missing out on seeing them while they are there. I don't place a big emphasis on birthdays...I'm sure he'll love spending time with you regardless of his birthday!

Yeah, I see my parents all the time - they're on LI. My sister said she doesn't care either way, as long as she gets to see me at some point. I'm leaning towards sister time - he's three he probably won't remember!

I have a sister who lives in Jersey. So although I don't see her ALL the time, I do see her frequently.
But...I would definitely pick June when you can do sister "bonding" time and not have to share her with your rents! Not only that it would be nice for your nephew to have more one on one time with you.

I have 3 sisters...2 live on LI and the other in Massachusetts. I'm very close to the 2 here. Wish we were as close to the one in Mass. So I'd say go in June cause sister bonding time is important!
