Automatic Flushers

Argh, can I say how much i hate them! They flush while you're still on the pot, thus splashing your derriere and then it disrupts your process. Plus it totally wastes water - not environmentally friendly. Who thought of these and why - are we so lazy we can't flush the toilet?

Re: Automatic Flushers

it was a santitary thing so we didnt have to touch the flusher. It never works. I end up having to flush it anyway.

Same here. At least you flush again anway. Too many people just get up, zip their pants and walk out of the stall with the bowl still "full".

Re: Automatic Flushers

This may be a stupid question, but how do you flush again when it's an automatic flusher and there is no lever? I can't figure it out and pretend to "go again" to make the sensor work. Chat Icon

there's usually a button on the top of it. it's not the regular lever flusher. why don't they make them on the floor that you can do with your foot? Chat Icon

I prefer non auto flushers so I can use my foot to flush!

Makes it so much easier and the auto flushers never seem to flush at the right time anyway.

There should be a little button to push on the back of the toilet, usually next to the sensor. I usually take a piece of toilet paper and push the button with that and then toss it in the bowl quick.

I have visions of this happening. Or in the summer, I picture my shoe (usually a sandal) falling off my foot and falling into the bowl. Sometimes it's an interesting balancing act if I'm wearing heels!

Honestly, I would rather just flush w/ my foot instead. I hate the flushers too.
