I need help traveling to Atlantic City, NJ

Chat Icon
I booked a weekend getaway to the Tropican casino in A.C.

Problem is I've never driven there before. What is the easiest route I should take? I've been to different sites and I've gotten so many different ways to get there.

If I change my mind and decide to take a bus. Can anyone recommend a bus line to take down there?

I live in Brooklyn, and go through Staten Island:

Staten Island (278)
to:
Gothalls Bridge
to:
NJ Turnpike South
to:
Garden State Parkway South
to:
Atlantic City Expressway

From Levittown, we take the Southern State to the Belt, to the Verzanno, Route 287 to Route 440 to the Outer Bridge. Then we take the Garden State Parkway to the AC Expressway.

I'm out on the island and this is how I go too.

I live in NJ, but I would take the Outerbridge Crossing instead of the Gothalls Bridge... The Outerbridge will take you right to the Garden State Parkway

I would agree. I travel to southern Jersey for work right now on a weekly basis. I prefer the Outerbridge Crossing to the Goethels.

This is correct indeed!! I'll add though I'd take the SI expressway to the Ouerbridge crossing & get on the Garden State Parkway from there. It will save you a good 15 min (sometimes more, depending on traffic) Besides that, its easier to get to the GSP from the outerbridge then the goethals. AC is exit 38 on the Garden State Parkway.

After many years travelling to AC and Seaside Heights - this is by far the best route.Chat Icon
