Etiquette Q
I have applied for another position within my department and had an interview today with 2 of my current employers. Should I send a follow up email thanking them for meeting with me? What should I write!!

Re: Etiquette Q
Definitely send a thank you.
I just interviewed someone from another dept and she emailed me this, which I thought was a nice touch:
I wanted to thank you for taking the time to meet with me this afternoon. As discussed, I feel my experience as a XXXXX has provided me with the necessary skills to succeed within the role of XXXXXXXX. The opportunity to pursue a career in XXXXXX has always been of interest to me and I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of your team.

Definitely. An email, letter or faxed letter will do. In a nutshell (I just wrote this quick):
Dear Mr. X
Thank you for taking the time to meet with me today. I really enjoyed learning about your company and sharing my background and career goals with you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely, xyz
