ok...some background...I wanted to get ahead on the house--I fell behind when I delivered in the hospital and have this sick vision of a Martha stewart house..even though these are my third and 4th kid and cleanliness is like peeing in the wind.
I hired someone to help me and hellp so I can move my twins to their room.
My back is screwed and I couldn't do it alone...
ok ready for this???
She pledged the floors and almost killed me!!!!!! I can't even walk upstairs because its a skating rink! She said it was to pick up dust..I guess the swifter was not working...
so..I guess I have to wait for the kids t make it sticky again so itd safe..

MY HUSBAND DOES THIS!!!!!!!!!!!
He drives me insane!!!!!!!!! He says its the "proper" way to clean the floor. I swear, I think hes just secretly trying to kill me! HAHA

I've accidentally done this and nearly took out DH & myself. A few times, I've sprayed the dustcloth over the hardwood instead of the rugs, and it does make it sooo slippery.

OMG, That happened to DH's uncle. He didnt know why his floors were so slippery! Until someone mentioned, she is probably using pledge. Sure enough. It was the pledge! We all laughed and the cleaning lady said " I pledge Allegiance to the floor" and kissed it.
BE CAREFUL!!!

Holy crap! Murphys oil soap works great and doesn't kill you.
Otherwise a damp mop works great too to pick up dust.

My MIL does this. So does my DH.
The problem is that DH and I have wood furniture on our hardwood floors. He just sprays the furniture directly and you can figure out the rest...
Suffice to say, there are no "safe zones" in my home.

i have did this by accident once when there was a sticky section on my floor and learned FAST how dangerous this was.
it was only a 1 inch spot. i can't imagine how scary walking on stairs would be.

OMG!!!!
My DH did this while I was pregnant - but he only did a small space in front of the sink - but I still found it and went flying right into the cabinets
He felt soooooo bad!!!!

This is what I was thinking!
That's so dangerous - especially with little ones you may have to carry up or down the stairs!!
I sure hope she doesn't do THAT again!
