Beth, How is your dad?
I'm sure you are busy with your family, but I wanted to check in and see how your dad is doing?

Awww, thank you for asking! He's GREAT! He got out of surgery yesterday around 7pm. I visited him today, and I was amazed - he looks better than he did before surgery! He's already off the pain medication, and was up and walking around a bit today. The docs say the surgery was so successful that he may even be able to get back on the transplant list 
The only weird part - my brother's ex is a physician's assistant for the heart surgeons at the hospital, and as it turns out, she was the person to cut my dad open. Would you believe she called my brother and left him a message, saying, "I just cut open your dad... he did fine... call me if you have any questions"
