Am I a sucker?!

I go into the new salon near my job (been wanting to try it) to set up a trim appt, and begin talking to the colorist about my dye job. She goes, "No one would ever notice this, and it does look pretty, but there is a slight green tint/cast where your highlights were." AAACK! Needless to say, I have an appt. for a glaze. Sucker? Or necessary? DH says he sees no green and that I'm a sucker! LOL! My mom calls me last night and goes, "Is this my green-headed daughter?" They are all teasing me now....ha ha

One of you told me about the green and I didn't listen. Though...Chat Icon I can't admit I see it. But I'll take the professional's advice and get the glaze! (spell it: S u c k er) And also...you have to try the vitamins I've been taking...it is ALL new hair!

Then it is entirely possible. Usually when you go from highlights to a darker tone you put a gold or brown base/filler in first, then you put in the colour. Ash dyes are either green or blue based, and the bleached hair is more sensitive & can pick up the base more intensely then the colour itself. But if you used a semi-perm colour then a glaze would help for a little but, but it will still oxidize with the greenish tint, unless there is a red in there to equalize.....

Is there any reason she did not recommend a permanent colour to fix it rather than a glaze?

i guess she felt it was so slight; she said a glaze would take care of it...i can ask about permanent color. to be honest, i can't see "green" anywhere, but....

hmmm, well if you can't see it then maybe she sees the tone is green, not the actualy colour. In that case a glaze should totally do (and it will make you shiny too!)

she called it a slight green cast...and then said "glaze" right away. ideally, i want my real brown to grow in from there. thanks for all your help! you should be a stylist!
