Random Annoyance
Automated phone thingy's...they make me put in my info (social or insurance number or whatever) then when a human finally picks up my call...they make me repeat it all again, w t f? why do I bother in the first place? Is it to keep me occupied? as in, I am too stupid to realize I have been on hold for 5 minutes if I am pushing buttons?

Do you know each time they ask for my info AFTER I have entered it, I tell them to pull the recording and listen to what I already entered. Then I let them know what a waste of time I consider it to be that they do this

 I always feel bad saying something to the person that actually answers the phone, cause I know they have NO control over it. I love you do though, it made me realize I should too. If enough people complain maybe they will knock off their shenengans.

OMG this drives me nuts too! Worse is when I called my ins. co one time and after pushing a zillion numbers they wanted me to state my problem to the automated system!! So like a moron I'm trying to explain the problem to a non-human and it keeps telling me it's not understanding so after cursing at it like I had Tourette's it told me to hang up and try again. When I finally got through to a human being boy did I let the poor person have it!

i got a better one...do you ever get phone calls to your house that are recordings????? this drives me nuts! if you dont have the time to speak to me live, then i dont have the time to listen!

in fact just yesterday i did this with my insurance company!!!!!!!!!
and I HATE when I make the phone call and THEY ask the questions.
IM the one who called for a reason, so let me ask my questions first !

I think it's equivalent to when the doctor's office puts you in the exam room only to have you wait another 20 minutes in a paper gown.
It makes you THINK you are getting somewhere, but it's really just a faux progression to make you wait more.
