Freaking out...
Just got word that my direct supervisor is leaving. I have only been with the company for 3 months and in that 3 months he hardly trained me and barely gave me anything to do (hence the reason my post count has gone up!). Now, after he leaves, I will be responsible for about 75% of the work he does and I have no idea how to do any of it. I have 2 weeks to learn everything
I'm stressing out big time.

ok, breathe. You need to have a plan and start with your supervisor. Sit down and go over everything. Once you assess what you need to learn take it one step at a time. If you are still freakin out next week, talk to the bigger supervisor. You can explain that you were trained appropriatley and may need some help.
Try to remain professional and calm.
One step at a time.

Re: Freaking out...
You can only handle so much without adequate training. Try to get in as much as you can over the next few weeks but don't panic!

Thanks!! It's just a lot all at once. There are only 2 people in the office that handle this HUGE acct. that I'll be left with, one of them is leaving (my supervisor) and the other is hardly ever in the office (always out schmoozing clients and pitching sales). OY VEY!!!
I can do it, I can do it, I can do it....

I happen to agree about this. Don't get suckered into doing that job for your pay.

Thanks ladies! How do I broach the topic of getting a bigger salary? I've only been with the comapny for 3 months and I was told that technically I'd be doing what I was hired to do just being in the forfront instead of the backup??

i think the first question u need answered is--will this person be replaced? if not then i would ask if ur title is being changed? cause if ur title is being changed blah...then id assume ur salary would change (i wouldnt SAY this stuff) but inquire about it all

Re: Freaking out...
That's crap!!!! They are just pulling this out their arses. Tell then you are more than willing to step up to the plate and take on whatever they want you to do, but you shouldn't have to do your supervisors job for junior pay. If you stand up for yourself now you will save yourself a lot of heartache later.

My company has a habit of throwing people into the pool and seeing if they can swim. You will be fine! You'll be surprised at how well you'll do.
