Gifts for Shower Hosts?
My family and best friend are throwing me a shower. There are 4 people chipping in as far as I know. This is my first time being on the receiving end for a shower. Do you get a gift for the people throwing the shower for you? Its a "surprise" shower, but of course I know I am having one, but I dont know the date. At this rate, I think I may have the baby before I have the shower!! !! ! TIA Fran

Not necessarily - you could alway get them something, or take them out to eat after the event. You don't need to have anything for them day of shower.

Re: Gifts for Shower Hosts?
We gave my mom/grandmom/sister and MIL a framed picture of the two of us for a thank you.
For friend showers, we brought flowers and a spa finder gift card.

I'm getting my SIL a charm; I started a gold bracelet for her from James Avery when we were engaged and she threw our party. I might get her the new Coach perfume too, she's going all out and doing it all on her dime. Image Attachment(s):

My SIL and her mom threw my shower. I arranged for their favorite flowers to be delivered to them the day after my shower as a thank you.

That's a great idea.
I don't think it's necessary to have something for them the day of.

Re: Gifts for Shower Hosts?
my sister got me flowers for both her showers...I bought the people who did my baby shower individual baskets from Harry and David's - according to their tastes. They were maybe $25 ish, but looked awesome.
I will say that I completely planned a friends bridal shower, who I adore to death. It was a surprise and I never received anything except such heartfelt thanks and appreciation - and honestly - that's all I needed as a gift - i never thought twice about it until today.

Me too, that is actually why I asked. I have planned a few showers for people and was always verbally thanked and could feel the appreciation but I was never given a gift. I have heard of a few people giving gifts to the hosts and wasnt sure if this was what I was supposed to do! Miss Manners I am not, so I didnt want to look like a fool and not thank them properly..
Thanks for all of your inputs....
