baptism...is this okay....

well every hall i would like is booked for that day....

this was my original plan so it may work my way....

the day of the christening grandparents, godparents, and however decides to show up that day like our aunts and such... will come back to our house after for sandwhiches, cake and coffee...

then later on a weekend available... we will do the party with everyone? like 12-3:30..... so everyone's not out till like 7pm on a sunday

we can't change the christening date...

I guess I still think it should all be in one day but if that's your only option so be it.

I agree with Jen, I'd do it all in one day. Why can't you have everyone to your house or one of your parents houses?

IMO it's selfish to expect people to use 2 days for this. Even if I was the godparent I'd be annoyed. Between showers, graduations, christenings, communions, confirmations, weddings, bachelor/ette parties and my own son's first birthday we have at least one party, and some weekends 2 EVERY weekend in May and June and almost every one in July.

Don't get me wrong, everyone is excited to meet your baby, but unfortunately many times we have other babies to meet and other friends and relatives to celebrate as well.

Again, JMO.

JMO, I think it should be all in one day. Like someone posted, it is a busy season (Communions, Graduations, showers, etc) you may get people comming to the church and then not the party or vice versa....again JMO.

I was going to split mine up as well. Turns out, its going to be easier to have one big party. I have an overhang on my patio and we rented a canopy with 2 sides, tables and chairs. Im praying so hard the weather is gorgeous. Just having the heroes, salads and cake..Maybe 1 or 2 hot dishes. No cooking for me!

I agree, it will be easier on you also to do it in one day instead of spreading it out..
