Godparents ...
If you are baptising/christening baby - did you choose your baby's Godparents yet?
We have not made a final decision yet.

We were going back and forth on who to ask but it looks like we have our decision. DH was adamant that it be a couple - just his personal experience as a single godfather and feeling left out.
We will wait until she is here to ask them.

We picked ours and asked them when we told them we were preggo. There really wasn't any decision though - we always knew who we were having for our first childs godparents.
The second kid on the other hand is going to be a totally different story!

We know who we will ask to be the Godfather, but the person we want to as to be Godmother is my best friend, who lives in VA and is also PG, she is due June 24--I'm due May 8. We're planning on doing the baptism the end of August (our church does them 4th Sun of the month), and I don't know if she'll be able to come up!

Well my sister new before i even got Pg that she was going to be the godmother.
But Dh brother we just told a few months ago

We are having trouble deciding. Since I don't speak to my IL's I refuse to have one of his sisters.
So we thought of his best friend and his wife but the issue is he is Muslim which won't fly at our church.
So now we are thinking my best friend and one of my brothers.

Yes, we are christening the baby, and we've chosen the Godparents. They are DH's BF and his sister; we knew that even before we got preggo, it was just kinda understood and agreed upon. My SIL is kinda being a pain about it because she wants her DH to be the Godfather, but that's just not going to happen. Nonetheless she keeps twisting that knife and making DH feel guilty. I'd love to please everybody and make her happy because she is good to us, but we just can't in this case.

We just decided for sure this past weekend. But, it literally took is the entire pregnancy to decide. And I think my SIL's are upset but we were in the type of situation were somebody wasn't going to be happy no matter what we picked, so we went with what felt right to us.

Yes as long as the other Godparent is Catholic it is fine.
