For those who did NOT find out the sex
We are not planning to find out the sex so my question is, what do you do when they are looking at the 20 week sonogram? Do you not look? Or is is just not that obvious as to what you are looking for? I know...I am probably sounding so naive right now..but I just came from the Dr and he said next week, boy or girl!! I said, Oh we aren't finding out--he said, well, it sometimes is inevitable.

They will ask you before you start "Are we finding out the sex today?" As soon as our tech. asked I snapped a quick "NO!" She laughed. She pretty much stayed away from anything too obvious...plus our baby wouldn't turn so I'm not too sure she could've found out that particular day anyway!
Even if they fail to ask, say so before they start!

we said we didnt want to know - but we were still looking at everything - I walked out of there thinking it's a girl and DH walked out thinking it's a boy - so who knows what we were looking at.
We had the 3d sonogram and honestly, the tech was soooooooo fast when she was examining things 'down there' that I really had no idea what was what.
Some women, particularly moms of boys, said that "it" was quite noticeable - but others have said that they still had no idea.

We told them we didn't want to find out. The technician didn't even seem to go over the "parts". I mean, we watched the whole time, but couldn't see or figure out anything. I think they have to look at the anatomy, because that's what the whole 20 week sono is about, so make sure they tell you to look away when they do that.
Just make sure you tell them, you DO NOT want to know!

We told them we didn't want to know. We went through the whole thing, looked the whole time, and honestly I have no idea what I'm seeing more than half the time, so we still don't have a clue even though we saw what the tech saw and she said she knew. They more than likely have to point it all out for you to know in most cases.
