berber carpet?
we have a 15 x15 room we want to carpet. I'd really like to get berber but my husband priced it out at home depot and if we install it ourselves it would still be $500-600. Do you know of any place that has it cheaper? TIA

Can you get a remnant? Maybe if you had it bound it would be cheaper than installing it.

That seems high. For 3 decent size bedrooms we were quoted $1000 at Atlas Floors in Valley Stream. I would try local carpet stores. Sometimes they are much more affordable.

We used empire and 3 bedrooms were $1300 and we got berber.

I'm a big fan of remnants - go to a local carpet store and see what they've got that could fit your room. We did that for 2 rooms and had them bound (I didn't want wall-to-wall). A great carpet company is Fabrica - their stuff is beautiful!

Def try Empire Carpet. They are having some sales on their carpets, but not sure if Berber is on sale.

I used Empire Carpet for carpet and installation and their work was wonderful and the carpet is so soft!

I would defnitely go to a carpet store and look for remnants. You can get a nicer carpet for less money this way.

They are the best! I have used them to do all of our florring and carpet's in our house and they are coming tomorrow to install more carpets.

We've gotten remnants from Merino Carpet, I think it's in Hauppauge. We did a 10X10 with remnant berber and I believe it was $300. We just got plush for 12X12 room and it was $400. Depends on the one you pick out of course, but we thought the prices were good.
