Preggo Teachers

How far along were you when you told your principals? I am nervous to tell because there are a few preggos at my job due around the same time. They have already told my boss, and I haven't yet. I wanted to wait a little while longer.

Re: Preggo Teachers

I had to tell at 8 weeks because they put me on the toughtest duty in the building... a lunch duty where the entire band over 1/4 of the school was in one cafe (over 220 kids and I was the only teacher). The kids were very good but my doctor said, "No Way". Being high risk, I was not allowed on my feet for long.

I had to tell the asst. principal, he reassigned me to the library but the entire faculty was wondering how I got out of it... there was quite a buzz so I had to tell.

Re: Preggo Teachers

I have the best relationship with my principal. She knew we were trying. I told her at about 8 weeks. She has been nothing but supportive.

First time I told at 13 weeks. I was due on Labor Day and gave birth on the first day of school, so I was a bit nervous about the timing!
This time I told around 9 weeks.

Both times my principal was soooo supportive!!

I told her around 10 weeks but asked her not to tell anyone else (She was good about it) until I told everyone else at 12 weeks.

She was great!
