Decorating help
Hi all,
Could use some help decorating our LR.
We have a white fireplace in the LR. And we are buying a dark brown (almost black) sofa and 2 club chairs. They call the color Walnut. They are throwing in the matching coffee table ottoman for free. I was thinking of putting the chairs on either side of the fireplace on an agle.
What color endtables and other furniture would you suggest? We haven't moved in yet so I cannot post pics. The walls are a yellowish color.
Also what color should I accent the room with? For pillows, throw, curtains, rugs, etc.
Thanks!

Re: Furniture help
I would go with dark wood tables and light colored paint.
Here are some ideas...

Re: Furniture help
I have a dark brown sofa, dark brown coffee and end tables and yellow walls. It looks ok, but in retrospect I would have gotten lighter tables. I think it would look nicer. Not really light ones, just ones that maybe had a mahogany finish instead of espresso.

Re: Decorating help
Why not get iron and glass tables. Check out Pottery Barn's roma collection.

Re: Decorating help
Not a fan of glass or iron. We are prolly going to have kids in the next few years.
Any suggestions for colors? I see that a lot of people are doing that rich red color. Another color I was thinking was sage green. Thoughts?
