Spinoff - Are you anything like your MIL????
After reading the last thread and seeing many of us have married men with some of our fathers qualities. Does them same go for us?
Did our DH's marry qualities of their mothers??

Yes, we are both...
1. the oldest in our families
2. high school teachers, she's now retired
3. have to take care of our Dad's- mine had a stroke at 57 and her Dad is 94 and lives in a nursing home in Brooklyn.
4. very industrious... cooking, cleaning, papers graded. We are both always "working" on something. We can't sit still.
5. both have a sibling who is a major, major pain in the a$$ and a bit of a an embarassment.
6. We both bought the same new car 4 days apart... silver 2005 Camry LE
7. Always looking for a bargain.
8. #1 fans of DH.
We are so alike DH always says... "OMG, I married my mother"

Yes and no. She's a lovely woman, really nice. She used to be a kindergarten teacher and has that nurturing personality, more so than me. She's also a bit more proper and lady-like than I am.

Yeah, kind of.
We like to have fun, laugh! When we have our friends over she likes to come in and ask about everyone. She knows everything about all our friends. She's a great woman.

Definitely NOT.....the ONLY thing we MIGHT have in common is the need to nurture/take care of people.
She is an alcoholic, she needs to be needed, she holds grudges, but she is good to us. It could SO be worse
