I live in Charlotte and love it....concord is also nice. The houses are insanely cheap...ranging from 100,000-500,000 for a HUGE house. Schools in Charlotte are not the best

Like I said in previous post, I live in Charlotte and I like it, concord is also good.....
ditto on metro charlotte (including lake norman, etc.)

I just did a post on this recently. We are going to build in the Wake Forest area, outside of Raleigh. The houses are beautiful. We are looking to build 2700 sq. ft. for $300 on almost 1/2 acre. The schools are excellent and they are building new ones to accommodate all the NYers moving down there!
