I think love is all you need.
Love in oneself. Love in your family. Love in your significant other. Love in what you do.
......list can go on and on.
Without Love, there is nothing.
but i think you need more.... like respect, loyalty, honesty, ....etc
Well - Exactly - but if you love someone, i would tend to believe that you respect, honor and are loyal to them - it all goes hand in hand.
one would think so but i don't think it always does

I think what happens with some people is that they love being in the idea of love so they may look the other way at some things.
Some people think that someone will change once they're married and usually that is not the case.
I believe love is a good jumping off point, but you also need trust, friendship, commitment, etc in any relationship
I agree 100%

I believe that this is one of the main reasons that many people get divorced. They aren't loyal, they don't show respect to the ones they love. In that case, their love wasn't enough to carry help their marriage succeed, unfortunately - people use the word "Love" very loosely nowadays - but in reality i think its one of the strongest words in the english vocabulary. It has feelings, strong emotions that go along with it.

Re: Love
Love is not enough. I think it is easy to fall in love with someone, but not as easy to have the friendship, trust, and respect that make a relationship work.

Re: Love
I tend to be pessimistic all the time, and here, I'm gonna say Love just isn't enough.
FH's almost30 yr old sister married her "love" almost 4 years ago, and they live in a horrible apartment, drive FH's parents' cars, do their laundry at FH's parents' home, and FH's parents buy their groceries for them. They are barely surviving.
They both have crappy jobs, no education (the guy didn't even graduate H.S.) and no motivation, and it's starting to rip apart their marriage.
Their marriage had tons of love, but NO security.
