Having grown up in East Rockaway, I know this house very well  I know the people who owned it before it was sold and redone.
What I can tell you about this house is that it used to sit on a corner property. Had a huge amount of land on either side. As you can see from the pictures, they sold off the land and 2 houses were build right next to this house on either side!! Its literally sandwiched in between a smaller ranch on the corner and a hi-ranch to the right. Such a shame this was a gorgeous property.
It's on Oceanview Road. A block off of Ocean Avenue. A block or two further north and you are in Rockville Centre by Lister Park. CLose to Riverside Elementary.

I figured. I viewed the virtual tour and my first thought was that a contractor re-did the house and is now trying to flip it. I think it's totally gorgeous - don't get me wrong - but, I don't know if it's worth what they are asking, just based on the location (the two neighboring houses are no where near as nice) and IMO, that does have to pull the value down. JMO.

Claud, I agree 100%. IMO, $1M for a house in that location??? I love that town, its very small and quaint and its a beautiful street, but I agree, its not a street with $1M homes. But I see that its already in contract I can only dream that my house would ever be as gorgeous!!
