Can anyone give tips on how to put up a border?
How high? How to make it level? I've never used a border before.
I think its the kind you have to wet vs. peel and stick.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!! We'll be putting it up today b/c the furniture is coming on Saturday!!

Charly I swear sometimes we are the same person - we are getting our furniture Saturday too!
Are you putting it in the middle of the wall or the top? I've only done it once but there was a moulding there already - for the middle of the wall I would imagine every few inches you can pencil mark (say 36 inches down from the ceiling) to keep it even. Other than that no suggestions - good luck!

We do seem to have a lot in common We are putting it in the middle and there's no chair rail or border already there. I was wondering how high it goes? Should I do it a few inches higher than the tallest piece of furniture?

Yeah definitely so you can see the border! I would also do a search in Parenting and Pregnancy for "nursery" - I bet a lot of the other moms have pictures of borders in past posts that you could get ideas from!

Re: Can anyone give tips on how to put up a border?
Jack's room had a border in the middle of the room and I think I used standard chair rail height which is about 36" high? I think.. Anyway, I also have one of those laser level tools that stick to the wall with a suction cup and I used that to make sure I kept it level. They are pretty cheap...maybe $30 or so. It shoots a laser across the wall that wrapped the walls so once the border was wet and ready to go up it was quick and easy.

Jodi, this is how we put up the border in our 's nursery (or I should say DH put it up, since I'm really stinky at things like this )
We made sure the border was just above the tallest piece of our furniture, and he made marks around the room from there, using a level thingy ..
I have pics of the nursery on my camera I am going to post later, but here is one example of the border placed higher than the highest piece of furniture (the tall dresser in the corner of the room):
