DD and I were Rear-ended today...
By some space cadet who told the cop that she wasn't paying attention and ran into me (I was completely stopped). Other than the pain in my upper back everything seems to be fine.
I spoke w/ my insurance and I need to get a new car seat. I am going tomorrow and I need some recc's. I had the Britax Marathon but now I see that they have more available. What should I get?

I am glad you are ok. I wish drivers these days would be more considerate and pay attention. I wouldn't be surprised if the lady was on her cell phone. I still can't believe that people still don't use hands free. Its the law!!
Off my soapbox now, I would just stick with the Marathon.

I'm surprised the girl even said she wasn't paying attention. I'm glad you & your DD are okay. Does your insurance pay for a new car seat for you?

Yes. The insurance company will pay for a new seat. We just have to fax them the receipt.
We had the Marathon in Foofy and it was discontinued. I am so crazy that I called the auto shop and asked him to remove the car seat cover and hold it for me before the adjustor takes the seat.

I would go with the Marathon again. We have one and it is awesome! If insurance is covering it I'd certainly go with that seat again!

At least both you and your daughter are ok. I definitly agree that people are in way to much of a rush and I never noticed it until I had a child. I hate it when people tailgate me on the SSP and I am going 65 mph. How is that not fast enough? I would also get the same car seat if you were satisfied with how it protected your daughter.
