Re: Should I give

My doctor told us not to because he wanted to make sure he did not have a fever before the shots. He said if he did, he wouldnt have given the shots. He told us to bring the Tylenol with us to give to him right after.
That being said, DS didnt need it, he was fine.

Re: Should I give

My ped. always told us during the visit which shots to give tylenol for and which not to. I am sure you could ask your ped. if DC needs Tylenol.

Re: Should I give

I was told not to also...they need to check the temp and dont want the tylenol disguising it..but its up to you..I always give it about an hour after the shots and so far other than crying when the needle is inserted we have had no problems...good luck..its not easy seeing them upsetChat Icon

Re: Should I give

Forgot to add, as for the temp, I took it right before we left for the dr. and gave her the tylenol AFTER I took her temp. And besides, my dr. didn't take her temp before administering them.
