Did it really help? Did it just stop you from throwing up or did it stop the nausea? At what point did you give in and ask for it?

Re: Zofran Users

Zofran was my SAVIOR. I started it right at 7 weeks. I had been getting sick for a week, and as a teacher, that's not an option--I can't just run to the bathroom whenever.

I needed to set my alarm for an hour before I was due to wake up so I could take it, though--if I took it right after waking up, it didn't work in time Chat Icon

Re: Zofran Users

I started on Zofran at week 6. I couldn't keep anything down. I didn't need it every day, but I needed it most days. I stopped taking it week 14.

Re: Zofran Users

I started taking it at 6 weeks and stopped at about 16 weeks. Now I am 30 weeks and back to taking it again. I was nauseous 24/7 before I started to take it and it saved my life. I couldn't eat or drink anything. It kept me from getting nauseous and throwing up. A couple of times, I did have dry heaves, but it kept me from puking...

Re: Zofran Users

At 6 weeks I started getting really sick. At 6 weeks 2 days my doctor recommended it because I was having trouble keeping liquids down.

I have to be honest, it only kept me from throwing up. I felt most sick from 6.5 weeks to 10 weeks. I was taking 4-8 mg a day depending how bad I felt.

At week 11, its so much easier and I'm taking only 2mg of it a day (I cut them in half).

If I could drink a glass of water and take my prenatals with no ill affect, I wouldn't be taking zofran.
