Yup it's Mumps...
My MIL called today after she got her blood test done...and it's mumps. I called the pediatrician last week and he told me what to look out for just incase he does get it. With the holidays coming up...I seriously hope he doesn't get mumps.
Keep your fingers crossed ladies...

She just called me and told me now she doesn't have it... W T F???
She said the doctor gave her two tests...one to see if she had it in the past and one now to see if she has it.
The doctor gave her the wrong test results and she doesn't have it. Hmmm....

The power of positive thinking! Let's all hope that story is true.... but it sounds kind of like my Dh's cousin who came to my shower when she thought she had shingles when I was 30 weeks pregnant and I had never had the chicken pocs (they all knew I had no resistance) but after the fact when I found out and told them well now your Grandson might be born deaf if I get it she suddenlly didn't have shingles even though last time I saw her she still has pain from them.. argh
He's in my prayers! Hopefully she is being honest and is fine and puts Jared in the clear. Even if she is not nice lady she must feel terrible that she could have given it to him and is probably in denial herself...
