I was shocked when my dentist told me how bad they were for DS.
We stopped them as well about 6 months ago...the juice I am still working on!!
Hope the dental work is painless (as can be!)

I completely agreed with you on the other thread as well, they really ARE the devil! I also posted that my Sydney, at 4 years old, just had 4 cavities and 2 of them were pulpotomies. We went for 2 opinions before getting Syds treatment done and both said fruit snacks were terrible. Thankfully her dentist is a dream and we did it throughout several visits and she didnt need sedation like the first dentist recommended. I was so mortified and sad about this. Sad that she had to get that much work done at that age, and mortified because I am an office manager for an oral surgery practice for the past 10 years!!!! No soda here, ever, always watered down juice, the rare lollipop from a birthday party, but tons of fruit snacks. They are completely banned in my house as well now and have been since the fall when we first found out about all these issues. I had my first cavity at 9 years old, and then my second at 30, so I too assumed it would be the same way for my girls.
I'm so sorry you both are going through this :(

Yep, we don't do them. And our pedi dentist asked the kids to stay away from raisins too.

I heard a coworker say "But its just liquid fruit , see says 100 fruit juice.. doesn't it.. anyway its a good way of getting them fruit and they like it"
I hate them for ME and I hate them for her. We toss them out. Her TEACHER gave her some for valentines day!
