Your Pediatric Dentist

How long does it take to get an appointment for a regular check-up? Not sure if I want to switch, but our dentist seems difficult to get appointments with. Thanks.

Re: Your Pediatric Dentist

We make the next appt for 6 months out when leaving the appt.
So it's never an issue.

Sometimes we have to move it as it gets closer, because let's be honest, who knows their schedule for 6 months from now- but I like this system.

Same. We need weekends, so we had to do 7 months out last time.

Re: Your Pediatric Dentist

We always make our next appt when we leave from th prior one, so we book it 6 months in advance. I do know for my place, if you’re looking to get a Saturday it’s very hard to get, but if you don’t care which day you get you can get in pretty quickly.

I tried to book DD's next appt before we left until they informed me that during the summer (6 months out put her at August) they were only open some sort of ridiculous hours during the week. So I said "fine, then we'll do September" but apparently September was all booked. Which brought me to October and the woman would NOT stop going on and on about how "that is EIGHT months, she'll be overdue!"

I like to live on the edge, so DD will be late for her appt to check a bunch of teeth that are going to fall out anyway. Call CPS.

Listen, I can join you on the bad dental parent list because DD didn't even GO to the dentist for the first time until 5 years old. Chat Icon Chat Icon
I like to live on the edge like that though....

The one we used to go to booked like 7 months in advance. Then they dropped our insurance so we are now going elsewhere... didn't take long to get an appt.
