YOu might be a redneck
I have a new appreciation for this line. Here is the synopsis of my hillbilly weekend:
You might be a redneck if the highlight of the weekend is a DJ dance at the firehall.
You might be a redneck if you have to jump start the pick-up truck with the four-wheeler to get to the firehall dance.
You might be redneck if you have to drag a full cooler in and ride out on top of an emtpy one.
You might be a redneck if your friends have to hold you up while you pee in the parking lot and then wrestle you in to the back of the truck to get home.
You might be a redneck if your friends have to chase you around on the 4 wheeler, while you run barefoot through the fields drunk and your friends have to keep putting your pants back on and coerce you to ride on the front of the 4 wheeler like a deer, and then have to beat your azz to the ground after you get pisssed when your wife hits you over the head with a beer bottle.
You might be a redneck if your friends have to put you in the shower while the wives go searching for the guns in the house since you threatened to kill everyone in your drunken stupor.
And finally you might be a redneck if the next day the kids go down to the river to go fishin, riding on a cart being pulled by a lawn mower.
BUT BOY DID I HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!

Used as a disparaging term for a member of the white rural laboring class, especially in the southern United States.
A white person regarded as having a provincial, conservative, often bigoted attitude.
We all like to pretend that we are above using "INAPPROPRIATE" language. We have talked about the "kkk", "coloured" and "mongolian" just to name a few (and most recent off the top of my head).
I just wanted to let people know that some people COULD take offense to a word like this.
I do understand that there are people who are proud to be called a "redneck" so I don't need that lecture....but even dictionary.com lists it as "offensive slang."

point taken, but my friends referred to themselves this way this weekend, and if I asked them, I am sure that they would say that definition suits them.
Hope no one was offended, it certainly wasnt meant that way.
We all had a good laugh at our behavioe, and I thought I'd share.
