you know its unconditional love when...
i know its unconditional love if after dealing with a ridiculous tantrum at 1am and feeling like i want to rip my hair out if she doesnt go back to bed.... i still find myself just wanting to watch her little angel face sleep when i finally do get her back to bed.. and i wonder how i could have gotten mad at that same face a little while ago.  
what about you? how do you know its unconditional love?

When DD throws up all over the carpet, her glider chair, me, and herself... and I'm much more concerned whether or not she is ok than cleaning everything up.

When he is covered in poop - face, belly, everything, and while I'm cleaning him up and he's smiling at me, I still want to kiss every inch of his little body (after his bath, of course!!!)

when he has peed through his outfit and all over his cradle in the middle of the night, and all i do is laugh with joy because my baby is making such good pee-pee!!

when during a diaper change, after I've deflected the torpedo of liquid poop with my bare hand so it doesnt shoot across the room, I love the look of content on his face after that evil stuff has left his hieney!!
